About Me

A Few Words About Me

I have been a dedicated fine artist since 2004, having embraced my innate talent from an early age. As a self-taught artist without formal education, I hold the belief that while talent is a gift at birth, it is our duty to cultivate and enhance it. I am thankful for the unwavering support of my wife and parents, who have consistently motivated me to persevere and pursue excellence.

My artistic inspiration stems from my father, the renowned Nic van Rensburg, as well as the late South African master, Pierneef.

I'm a versatile artist with a keen eye for detail. My passion for landscapes has led to the creation of signature works characterized by their vibrant and striking colours. Each scene I depict reflects my personal tastes and appreciation for beauty.

My African scenes embrace a modern minimalist style, appealing to audiences both locally and internationally. Additionally, I have a humorous side, showcased in my popular collection of “Funky Fat Chefs” which are very popular for kitchens or entertainment areas.

My earlier artworks are still displayed in art galleries throughout South Africa; however, in 2016, I began showcasing and selling my own creations. This shift has allowed me to engage directly with my clients, offering a more personalized service. By collaborating closely with me, clients can tailor their paintings to suit their specific preferences and interior spaces. I have been fortunate to sell my artwork internationally, to collectors in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the USA and Germany, among others.

I am currently based in Pretoria, South Africa, and I offer complimentary delivery and home viewings within the Gauteng region.
